EPS of EUR 1.95 topped the EUR 1.85 estimate, +5.4%, and was down 9.7% from EUR 2.16 a year ago, while revenue of EUR 6.456 billion against a EUR 6.491 billion estimate, -0.5%, was accompanied by operating income of about EUR 3.9 billion and operating margin near 61%. Net income came to about EUR 3.0 billion, down 11.7% from roughly EUR 3.3 billion a year ago. Next-period consensus calls for EPS of EUR 1.86 and revenue of EUR 6.490 billion.
