TJX Companies’ adjusted EPS topped consensus while revenue was in line, based on preliminary results for the second fiscal quarter of 2027 reported Aug. 19. Revenue rose 5.4% to about $15.2 billion, up from $14.401 billion a year ago, and came in at $15.180 billion against a $15.169 billion estimate, in line, while gross margin was near 33% and operating margin was near 13%. Adjusted EPS of $1.22 topped the $1.19 estimate, +2.5%, and was up from $1.10 a year ago, and net income rose 22.3% to about $1.5 billion from $1.243 billion. Operating cash flow came in at about $1.1 billion, the company repurchased $604.0 million of stock and paid $474.0 million in dividends. Based on preliminary results, consensus for the next period calls for EPS of $1.34 on revenue of $15.903 billion.
