HCA Healthcare beat consensus on both revenue and EPS in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, reported July 24 based on preliminary results, as revenue rose about 9% to about $20.2 billion from $18.61 billion a year earlier. Revenue of about $20.2 billion topped the $19.8 billion estimate, about +2.4%, while EPS of $7.59 topped the $7.56 consensus, about +0.4%, and was up about 11% from $6.84 a year ago. Operating income came in at about $3.1 billion, with both gross and operating margins at 15.2%, and net income rose about 3% to about $1.7 billion from $1.65 billion a year earlier. Operating cash flow came to $2.33 billion, and the company repurchased about $2.1 billion of stock while paying about $171 million in dividends. Consensus for the next period calls for EPS of $7.07 on revenue of $19.52 billion.
