International Paper’s earnings beat consensus while revenue missed in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, reported July 30, based on preliminary results. EPS of $0.04 topped the -$0.03 estimate by about 234%, though it was down 80% from $0.20 a year ago, while revenue fell 11% to about $6.0 billion from about $6.8 billion a year ago and came in about 3% below the $6.2 billion consensus. The operating segments total led at about $6.0 billion, up 13%, and within the geographic mix the United States remained the largest market at about $3.5 billion, while EMEA rose about 50% to roughly $2.3 billion. Operating cash flow came to about $526 million, and the company repurchased about $1 million of stock and paid about $245 million in dividends.
