D-Wave Quantum commercializes quantum annealing processors purpose-built for optimization and sampling problems that arise in logistics, scheduling, materials science, financial portfolio construction, and machine learning feature selection. Rather than pursuing the gate-model paradigm favored by most competitors, D-Wave's hardware exploits quantum tunneling and superposition to search large solution spaces for near-optimal configurations. The Leap cloud service gives developers browser-based access to quantum hardware alongside hybrid solvers that orchestrate quantum and classical resources automatically.
