McKesson beat expectations on both the top and bottom line in the first fiscal quarter of 2027, reported Aug. 5, 2026, based on preliminary results. Revenue rose about 8% to about $105.4 billion, topping the $103.9 billion consensus by +1.4%, while gross margin was about 3.5% and operating margin about 1.3%. Adjusted EPS was $9.93, above the $9.56 estimate by +3.9% and up 20.2% from $8.26 a year ago, while net income fell about 22% to roughly $614 million from $784 million. Operating income came in at about $1.3 billion, operating cash flow was negative $220 million, and McKesson repurchased about $2.5 billion of stock while paying about $102 million in dividends. Next-period consensus calls for EPS of $10.75 on revenue of $109.95 billion.
