Amdocs expands AI alliances with cloud giants
February 27, 2026 at 22:04 UTC

Key Points
- Amdocs unveils multi-year AI modernization deal with AWS at MWC 2026
- New collaborations with Microsoft (MSFT) and Google Cloud target agentic, AI-first telco solutions
- Amdocs’ aOS and Cognitive Core sit at the center of all three partnerships
- Joint offerings span network autonomy, contact centers and large-scale app migration
Amdocs deepens AI push with major cloud partners
Amdocs announced three cloud-focused collaborations at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, unveiling new and expanded partnerships with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft (MSFT) and Google Cloud. The initiatives are designed to accelerate AI-driven modernization for communications service providers and enterprises, with Amdocs’ agentic operating system, aOS, and its Cognitive Core technology forming the common foundation.
The Jersey City-based software and services provider, which reported $4.53 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue, is positioning these alliances around large-scale cloud migration, AI-enabled operations and customer experience transformation across telecom and adjacent industries.
Multi-year AI modernization collaboration with AWS
In a multi-year strategic collaboration with AWS, Amdocs aims to advance AI-driven modernization across the telecommunications industry and beyond. The companies are combining AWS’ AI Factories secure infrastructure with Amdocs Cognitive Core, pre-built agents and monetization platforms to help operators deliver GPU infrastructure and AI-as-a-service offerings to enterprise customers.
This joint stack is intended to complement operators’ existing AI investments and support monetization of business-to-business solutions while aligning with customers’ sovereignty requirements. The collaboration also focuses on autonomous networks by pairing Amdocs’ telco-grade Network Digital Twin with AWS cloud and AI services.
According to the companies, this enables intelligent network operations agents that detect anomalies, predict service impact, perform root-cause analysis and simulate resolutions before execution, with the goal of reducing costs and breaking down operational silos as operators progress toward fully autonomous networks.
The AWS partnership further targets application modernization. Amdocs’ migration and transformation-specialized agents are being combined with AWS generative AI services, including Amazon Transform and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, to accelerate refactoring, mainframe modernization and legacy-to-cloud migration, shrinking typical migration timelines from months to weeks.
Microsoft collaboration on AI-accelerated app modernization
A separate collaboration with Microsoft (MSFT) centers on AI-accelerated application modernization for enterprises. Amdocs and Microsoft plan to deliver what they describe as Service-as-Software, helping customers modernize applications and advance cloud journeys on Microsoft Azure with an agent-led, orchestrated approach.
At the core of this solution are Amdocs Agentic Services, part of aOS, which orchestrate specialized agents from across Amdocs Studios into coordinated multi-agent workflows. These are delivered through a growing library of pre-built, customizable workflows intended to operationalize AI at scale across modernization initiatives.
The multivendor Amdocs Agentic Services incorporate Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Foundry, including Azure OpenAI in Foundry Models, Microsoft Migration Agents, GitHub Copilot and Fabric IQ. Enterprises can deploy coordinated Amdocs and Microsoft IT agents to automate end-to-end modernization activities, support accelerated refactoring, strengthen architectural resilience and enable seamless migration to Azure.
Google Cloud partnership for agentic telco contact centers
Amdocs also announced a collaboration with Google Cloud to help service providers accelerate AI adoption in the telco contact center using an agentic, AI-first model. The joint solution combines Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience with Amdocs’ Cognitive Core, the generative AI foundation of aOS for telecom.
The resulting platform is described as an end-to-end, telco-specific generative agentic contact center. It is built as a turn-key, production-ready solution deployable on top of any BSS and OSS environment, with pre-built, certified, domain-specific AI capabilities.
Service providers gain out-of-the-box support for complex telco business processes, including billing inquiries, payment issues, disputes and adjustments, roaming issues, plan changes, renewals and personalized upsell and cross-sell opportunities. These processes are governed through business configuration and tightly embedded with systems of record for end-to-end execution.
Amdocs and Google Cloud plan to showcase the joint solutions at Mobile World Congress Barcelona, where the company will also demonstrate AWS and Microsoft-linked offerings at its booth alongside its partners’ exhibits.
Key Takeaways
- Amdocs is using a common aOS and Cognitive Core foundation to anchor distinct but complementary alliances with AWS, Microsoft and Google Cloud.
- Across the three partnerships, AI agents are applied to different layers of telecom and enterprise operations: networks, applications and customer contact centers.
- The initiatives position cloud migration as one part of broader AI-driven modernization programs aimed at measurable business outcomes and operational efficiency.
