Maravai lifts 2026 outlook after strong Q1

Maravai LifeSciences Holdings, Inc. reported total revenue of $65.8 million for the first quarter of 2026, representing a 41% increase compared with the same period a year earlier. The company also delivered adjusted EBITDA of $20.3 million in Q1 2026, reversing a loss of $10.5 million recorded in the first quarter of 2025.

Management highlighted this shift to positive adjusted EBITDA as a key milestone in the company’s financial performance. The results reflect both higher sales and operational improvements that contributed to improved profitability in the quarter.

Maravai generated positive free cash flow of $4.2 million in the first quarter of 2026. This marked the company’s first cash flow positive quarter since the third quarter of 2024, indicating progress in aligning earnings performance with cash generation.

The positive free cash flow result followed the improvement in adjusted EBITDA and was supported by the stronger revenue base. The company’s move back into cash flow positive territory was cited as an important indicator of its improving financial health.

On the back of the stronger-than-expected first-quarter performance, Maravai raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance. The company now expects total revenue in a range of $205 million to $215 million, compared with a previous range of $200 million to $210 million.

Maravai’s TriLink segment was a major driver of the company’s first-quarter revenue expansion. The segment posted a 65% increase in revenue year over year, significantly outpacing the overall company growth rate in Q1 2026.

Demand strength in TriLink contributed meaningfully to the 41% rise in total company revenue. The segment’s performance underscored its importance within Maravai’s portfolio and its role in supporting the improved financial results.

Chief Executive Officer Bernd Brust expressed confidence in Maravai’s trajectory following the first-quarter results. He pointed to operational improvements and a favorable product mix as key factors behind the company’s strong performance.
