Q1 2026 financial performance

Pony.ai reported first-quarter 2026 financial results for the period ended March 31, 2026, highlighting strong top-line growth alongside continued losses. Total revenues reached US$34.3 million, a 145.0% increase year-over-year.

Service revenues for the quarter were US$16.7 million, while product revenues totaled US$17.5 million. Despite the revenue growth, the company recorded a consolidated net loss of approximately US$53.5 million for the quarter.

Robotaxi revenue growth

Robotaxi operations were a key driver of Pony.ai’s performance in Q1 2026. Robotaxi services revenues were US$8.6 million, representing a 395.4% increase year-over-year, with fare-charging revenues up 456.5% over the same period.

The company reported robust usage metrics into May 2026, stating that average weekly paid orders in May were up 119% compared with January 2, 2026. Pony.ai also said registered users in China more than tripled year-over-year, underscoring growing customer adoption.

Robotruck services and product mix

Beyond Robotaxis, commercial Robotruck operations contributed to overall growth. Robotruck services revenues were US$10.2 million in Q1 2026, an increase of 31.0% year-over-year.

Combined with other service lines and product sales, these results produced a roughly even split between service revenues of US$16.7 million and product revenues of US$17.5 million during the quarter.

Fleet expansion and 2026 deployment target

Alongside its financial results, Pony.ai detailed rapid expansion of its autonomous vehicle fleet. As of the May 26, 2026 announcement, the company said its Robotaxi fleet had exceeded 1,700 vehicles.

Reflecting this growth, Pony.ai raised its 2026 year-end deployment target to more than 3,500 Robotaxi vehicles. The company expects these vehicles to be deployed across over 20 cities worldwide by the end of 2026.

International rollout and new markets

Pony.ai continued to broaden its geographic footprint. The company said it initiated a commercial Robotaxi deployment in Croatia, which it described as its first commercial Robotaxi service in Europe.
