Anthropic hits $65B revenue run rate

Anthropic PBC has told investors that its annualized revenue run rate hit $65 billion by the end of July 2026, highlighting a period of very rapid growth. The run-rate figure, which extrapolates current performance to a full year, reflects a steep climb from roughly $9 billion at the end of 2025.

Between late 2025 and mid-2026, the company’s growth trajectory has been marked by a series of sharp step-ups. By May 2026, Anthropic’s run rate had risen to about $47 billion, before advancing further to $65 billion just two months later.

These updated metrics were shared as part of a regular investor update held over the weekend of August 15–17, 2026. The disclosure provides potential investors with a current snapshot of the scale and momentum of the business as it approaches the public markets.

Alongside the updated run-rate figure, Anthropic reported preliminary second-quarter 2026 revenue of more than $11.5 billion. The company stated that it generated positive adjusted operating income in the same quarter.

These second-quarter numbers are described as preliminary and unaudited, meaning they could be revised before any formal securities filing. Nevertheless, they indicate that Anthropic is not only expanding quickly but also reporting adjusted operational profitability in the latest quarter.
