Deadly strike and drone hits on Russian assets

The Filanovsky platform is one of several offshore installations used to support Russia’s energy production. While the security service said the platform had been hit, there were no detailed public figures in the initial reporting on the extent of structural damage or any resulting interruption to production.

In western Siberia’s Tyumen region, local authorities reported another incident involving a Ukrainian drone. Regional officials, including Governor Alexander Moor, said that a Ukrainian drone crashed on the grounds of the Tyumen oil refinery on July 25, 2026, causing a fire at the facility.

Emergency services were dispatched to the refinery, and firefighting efforts were under way as officials worked to contain the blaze. Authorities did not say whether refining operations or output at the plant had been disrupted by the incident.

Local accounts described explosions and smoke over the refinery site following the drone crash. The refinery lies far from the front lines, and the event highlighted the use of long-range drones in strikes deep inside Russian territory, though full operational consequences were not yet disclosed.

Across all three incidents, reporting emphasized that assessments of casualties and damage were preliminary. Officials and emergency responders were continuing to evaluate the condition of the Kyrylivka holiday camps, the Filanovsky platform and the Tyumen refinery.
