Securitas outlines 2030 strategy and targets

On June 15, 2026, Securitas presented its 2030 strategy together with a set of updated financial targets. The plan is intended to guide the group over a business cycle and focuses on earnings growth, cash generation, capital structure and shareholder returns. The announcement positions the strategy as a framework for long-term value creation.

At the centre of the new framework is a headline target for average annual earnings-per-share growth of 10% over a business cycle. Securitas also set a goal of achieving a long-term operating margin above 10%, framing profitability improvement as a key pillar of its ambitions through to 2030.

Cash flow, leverage and dividend policies

Alongside growth and margin goals, Securitas introduced specific objectives for cash flow and leverage. The company targets operating cash flow of 80%–90% of operating income before amortisation, indicating a focus on converting earnings into cash. It also stated that net debt to EBITDA should remain below 2.5, reflecting a defined ceiling for financial leverage.

The company adopted a dividend policy of distributing 50%–60% of annual net income over a business cycle. Once strategic growth priorities are met, any excess capital is intended to be returned to shareholders. Together, these measures define a clearer capital allocation approach covering reinvestment, balance sheet discipline and distributions.

Shift toward technology- and intelligence-led services

Securitas described its strategic direction as accelerating transformation into a technology- and intelligence-led security partner. The group highlighted a broader and more integrated focus, emphasising the use of data, analytics and technology to move further up the security value chain. This orientation underpins the financial targets and is presented as central to the 2030 strategy.

The company characterised the updated targets as reinforcing its ambition to drive long-term value creation. By linking earnings growth, cash generation and disciplined leverage with a defined dividend framework, the strategy sets out how Securitas intends to balance investment in technology-led services with returns to shareholders.

Investor engagement on the new strategy

To support understanding of the 2030 strategy and updated targets, Securitas invited investors, analysts and media to an Investor Day in London on June 16, 2026. The event is intended to provide further detail on the company’s transformation into an intelligence-led security partner and on how the new financial framework will be implemented.

Key Takeaways

  • 01Securitas’ 2030 plan links ambitious EPS and margin goals with explicit cash flow and leverage thresholds, creating a structured financial roadmap.
  • 02The dividend and excess capital policies clarify how the group intends to balance reinvestment needs with shareholder distributions over a business cycle.
  • 03Positioning as a technology- and intelligence-led security partner is central to achieving the new financial targets and underlies the planned strategic initiatives.
