SpaceX, Google sign multiyear GPU cloud deal

SpaceX has entered a multiyear cloud services agreement with Alphabet’s Google, according to U.S. regulatory filings made public in early June 2026. The arrangement was disclosed in an amendment to SpaceX’s Form S-1 as the company prepares for a planned U.S. stock-market debut.

Under the contract, Google will pay SpaceX $920 million per month from October 2026 through June 2029. In return, SpaceX will provide access to computing capacity built around roughly 110,000 NVIDIA (NVDA) GPUs, along with CPUs, memory and other related components.

The filing describes the deal as a cloud services agreement for compute access, positioning SpaceX as a large-scale infrastructure provider to Google over the specified term. The payments are tied to the provision of the agreed compute resources.

SpaceX’s filing explains that the computing capacity will ramp up through September 30, 2026 at a reduced fee before the full $920 million monthly payments begin in October 2026. During this period, SpaceX is expected to deliver the committed number of GPUs.

If SpaceX fails to provide the agreed GPUs by September 30, 2026, Google will have specific options after a one-month grace period. The filing states that Google may either terminate the agreement immediately or accept the number of GPUs that SpaceX has made available.

Should Google choose to accept a lower GPU count, the contract provides for a pro‑rata reduction in the monthly fees. This aligns the payment obligation with the actual capacity delivered, according to the terms described in the regulatory filing.

Beyond the initial ramp-up requirements, the agreement includes further termination flexibility. After December 31, 2026, either SpaceX or Google may end the contract by providing 90 days’ notice, the filing states.

These provisions give both parties the ability to reassess the relationship after the first year of full-scale service. The notice period is designed to allow time for any transition or adjustments in compute sourcing and service delivery.

The contract therefore combines long-dated payment commitments with structured mechanisms that respond to performance, capacity delivery and changing needs over time.

The Google agreement is one of two major compute-access deals SpaceX has disclosed. Reuters reported that, together with a previously announced agreement with AI firm Anthropic, SpaceX’s compute-capacity contracts have an aggregate value of more than $70 billion.

That figure assumes neither contract is terminated before its scheduled end date, according to the Reuters reporting cited in the filing summary. The Google deal’s defined term from October 2026 through June 2029 is a significant contributor to that total.

By detailing these large-scale agreements in its SEC filings, SpaceX is providing prospective investors with visibility into long-term revenue commitments tied to its role as a compute infrastructure provider to major technology customers.
