Bank of New York Mellon beat expectations on both the top and bottom line in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, reported July 15. Revenue came in at about $5.7 billion, above the about $5.4 billion consensus by 5.6%, while operating margin held near 40% and operating income reached about $2.3 billion. Net income was about $1.8 billion, up 23.8% from $1.42 billion a year ago, and EPS of $2.46 topped the $2.23 estimate by 10.3% and was up 26.8% from $1.94 a year earlier. The company repurchased about $983 million of stock and paid about $434 million in dividends. Consensus for the next period calls for EPS of $2.23 on revenue of $5.51 billion.
