General Dynamics beat consensus on both the top and bottom line in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, reported July 29, based on preliminary results, as revenue rose about 8% to roughly $14.1 billion, topping the about $13.5 billion estimate by 4.2%. EPS of $4.24, up about 13% from $3.74 a year earlier, beat the $3.96 consensus by 7.1%. Gross margin was near 16%, while operating margin held around 10% on operating income of about $1.5 billion. Net income increased about 14% to roughly $1.2 billion from $1.01 billion a year earlier. The company generated operating cash flow of about $1.9 billion, repurchased about $102 million of stock, and paid about $429 million in dividends. Consensus for the next period calls for EPS of $4.11 on revenue of $13.68 billion.
