Genie Energy’s adjusted EPS topped consensus while revenue missed, and the company said its second fiscal quarter of 2026 results, reported on Aug. 6, were based on preliminary numbers. Adjusted EPS of $0.43 beat the $0.25 estimate by 72.0%, up from $0.11 a year ago, while revenue fell 4.6% to about $100.4 million and came in below the about $104.6 million consensus by 4.0%. Gross profit came to about $33.7 million, leaving gross margin near 34%, and operating income reached about $6.5 million with operating margin around 7%. Net income rose 305.4% to about $11.4 million from about $2.8 million a year ago. The quarter also included negative operating cash flow of about $9.9 million, and the company repurchased about $1.2 million of stock and paid about $4.0 million in dividends.
