Ingredion Incorporated (INGR)

Ingredion beat expectations on both the top and bottom line in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, based on preliminary results reported August 4, as adjusted EPS of $2.82 topped the $2.71 estimate by 4.1% and revenue rose about 1% to roughly $1.9 billion, edging the $1.8 billion consensus by 0.9%. Gross profit came in at about $426 million, with gross margin near 23% on the quarter. Net income fell 41.8% to about $114 million from $196 million a year ago, even as revenue was up from $1.83 billion a year earlier and adjusted EPS eased 1.7% from $2.87. That left profitability lower than the revenue line, with the modest sales gain not translating into the same level of earnings. Operating cash flow was about $90 million, and the company paid about $52 million in dividends. Consensus for the next period calls for EPS of $2.66 on revenue of $1.80 billion.
