Vistra Corp is an integrated electricity company that combines one of the largest competitive power generation fleets in the United States with retail energy brands that provide electricity directly to homes and businesses. The generation mix includes natural gas, nuclear, coal, solar, and battery storage assets spread across ERCOT in Texas, PJM in the Mid-Atlantic, and other wholesale markets. TXU Energy, the flagship retail brand, offers fixed-rate plans, green energy options, and home services to millions of Texas customers. A subsidiary called Vistra Zero houses the nuclear, solar, and storage portfolio under a distinct clean-energy identity. The integrated structure — generation paired with retail — creates a natural hedge where gains in one segment offset pressure in the other across electricity price cycles.
