Evergy, Inc. beat expectations on both the top and bottom line in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, reported on Aug. 6. Revenue rose about 5% to about $1.5 billion from $1.43 billion a year earlier, topping the $1.36 billion consensus by about 10%, while adjusted EPS of $0.88 beat the $0.81 estimate by about 9% and improved from $0.82 a year ago. Net income climbed about 26% to about $215 million from $171.3 million last year, and operating income of about $380.6 million left operating margin near 25%. Operating cash flow came to about $362.5 million, and Evergy paid about $157.6 million in dividends. Consensus for the next period calls for EPS of $2.17 on revenue of $2.12 billion.
