Rivian Automotive topped expectations on both the top and bottom line in the fiscal second quarter of 2026, reported July 30, as revenue rose 27% to about $1.7 billion and adjusted EPS of -$0.47 beat the -$0.66 estimate by 29%. New electric vehicles remained the largest line at about $1.0 billion, up 12%, while software and services climbed 38% to roughly $513 million and regulatory credits surged to about $108 million, which helped offset the still-heavy cost structure. Gross margin came in near 11%, operating margin was about -50%, and the company posted an operating loss of roughly $836 million and a net loss of about $833 million, narrower than the $1.12 billion loss a year ago. Operating cash flow was negative $487 million. For the next period, consensus calls for EPS of -$0.66 on revenue of $1.97 billion.
